The world lost a really great guy today.
An older man, a man at my church,
who's been there for decades,
who was my father's second father,
who could recite most passages from the Bible by memory,
who smiled all the time,
and was kind to every person.
I know exactly where he is now,
and I'm thankful for that.
If anyone exemplified what it is
to live a life for Christ,
it was Tom.
He always had something sweet to say to me,
even when he couldn't remember my name
or much else.
His funeral is on Friday, and it's going to be
really,
really
hard.
